THE PRODUCERS

LEAD PRODUCER/MITCH WEISS (photo left) is the founding Producing Artistic Director of The FARM (We Grow Theater!), which commissioned and developed Last Coffee in Rockville. During his theatrical career he has been Managing Director, General Manager, and/or Company Manager for Barrington Stage Co., Carnegie Hall, New York Shakespeare Festival, Big Apple Circus, and Disney Theatricals International. He managed over 40 Broadway shows including A Chorus Line, The Grapes of Wrath, Beauty and the Beast, Golden Child, For Colored Girls..., Pacific Overtures, Equus, and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Mitch is also credited with creating and managing some of the most accurate budgets ever at Disney Theatricals International and Barrington Stage Company. Author (with Perri Gaffney) of "The Business of Broadway" (on Allworth Press). For more than two decades, Mitch managed disco icons Village People. CO-PRODUCER/MARIA DI DIA (photo center) is a Broadway and Off-Broadway General Manager, having begun her career as a ballet dancer. She managed numerous shows, special events and galas, including Executive Producer/General Manager for Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theatre and Associate General Manager of Chicago, the musical. As part of the origins of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, she continues actively on their Board. She has proudly worked with Jacques d’Amboise and the entire National Dance Institute family since 1982.  Ms. Di Dia is a co-producer with The FARM (We Grow Theater!).

CO-PRODUCER/HARRISON LEE (photo right) Lee’s writing and business skills have led him to work as a dramaturg and co-producer with The FARM (We Grow Theater!). Originally a principal dancer with Fred Benjamin Dance Co., Chamber Dance Group, and Rod Rodgers Dance Co, he has taught at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. Mr. Lee has performed on Broadway in Your Arm's too Short to Box With God (with Patti LaBelle) and The King and I (Yul Brynner & Rudolf Nureyev companies). Harrison is also an accomplished Off-Broadway and regional actor, as well as an award-winning Latin Ballroom competitor.
