PITCH DECK
for a new musical love story
STORY
In this original musical, two young Latiné lovers are unaware that their lives were entangled before their chance meeting at a Maryland coffee shop. They are blindsided when past events and immigration stand in the way of their happiness.

HISTORY
In early 2021, Tony-winning playwright / Columbia University professor David Henry Hwang invited us to view the work of one of his students, Julián Mesri. Soon after, we commissioned Julián to write a new musical: Last Coffee in Rockville. Since then, the musical has been given 6 readings and live presentations over 4 years with new rewrites each time. The two most recent presentations (at NYC's Westside Theater and Puerto Rican Traveling Theater) received great audience acclaim.
Last Coffee in Rockville was originally commissioned and developed by The FARM (We Grow Theater!),
a project of MW Entertainment Group. More information at www.WeGrowTheater.com
The production at Puerto Rican Traveling Theater was developed with support from Pregones/PRTT in NYC,
and its STEP UP Artist Residency initiative. More information at www.pregonesPRTT.org.
