JULIÁN MESRI is a New York-based Argentinean-American playwright and composer who makes multilingual plays and musicals in the US and around the world. He is the co-adaptor and composer/lyricist for the Mobile Unit bilingual production of the Drama Desk nominated and LATA award winning Comedy of Errors and Much Ado About Nothing at the Public Theater. Currently, he is the Judith Champion Musical Theater Launchpad Resident at Signature Theater and a Core Writer at the Playwrights Center. Recent work includes Telo (Live and In Color Finalist, O’Neill NMTC Finalist) and Bartolomé de las Casas Ruins My Pool (O’Neill NPC Finalist). Julián has been a member of the Public Theater Emerging Writer’s Group, a Dramatist Guild Fellow, an Emerging Artist of Color Fellow and Usual Suspect at NYTW. He is also a member of Lark's Playwright's Workshop at Second Stage, and was a Van Lier fellow at Repertorio Español. His modern staging of Fuenteovejuna received the HOLA Gilberto Saldivar Outstanding Production award. Julián received his MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University.

DIRECTOR

ESTEFANÍA FADUL is a Colombian-born, New Hampshire-raised, New York City-based director of new plays and musicals, and Co-Artistic Director of Ensemble Studio Theatre in Manhattan. She has developed new works off-Broadway and regionally at the Public Theater, Playwrights' Realm, Latinx Playwrights Circle, Repertorio Español, and Long Wharf, among others. Ms. Fadul has guest directed at universities and training programs including Juilliard, NYU, Princeton, AADA, SUNY Purchase, and the Atlantic Conservatory. She was the inaugural recipient of New York Stage and Film's Pfaelzer Award, and a recipient of Opera America's Robert Tobin Director-Designer Prize. Estefanía is an alumna of the Advocacy and Leadership Institutes of the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures, as well as New Georges Jam.  In addition, she was awarded the Clubbed Thumb Directing Fellowship, Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center/NNPN’s National Directors Fellowship, Drama League Directors Project’s Fall Fellowship and TV Directing Fellowship, among others. She currently serves on the Drama League's Board of Directors. Estefanía is also a New Georges Affiliated Artist, and a member of the Lincoln Center Theatre Directors Lab. Ms. Fadul holds a B.A. in Drama and French from Vassar College. Member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographer (SDC).
